Don't Give Up - Keep The Faith

My book, FAITH RECLAIMED: A Single Parent’s Journey Out of Darkness, is released.

This book is dedicated to all of those parents who have experienced extremely dark days of anger, frustration and pain. Days where you wanted to leave your kids, run away and never return. This book is for you single parents who may have lost your faith at one time or another. You felt a strong sense of abandonment, and thought no one was there to understand the pain you felt. You may have even gone into the dark area of depression. I encourage you to not give up! Don’t give up on the Lord Jesus Christ because He will come through for you. He will never leave nor forsake you. He’s right there with you, waiting for you to trust and believe in Him. Trust in the Lord. God has a plan for you.

I would love to provide you with updated information about purchasing my book and book events, so please don’t leave without providing your name and email address.

Peace & Blessings,
Nadine P. Simmons

KEEPING YOUR FAITH
Before writing FAITH RECLAIMED, because of God's grace, I overcame an addiction that nearly destroyed me. But to continue my career as a vocalist, along with being a great single mom, something had to give. I had no desire to place my dreams on hold, but when much adversities caused me to lash out on my teenaged daughter, I knew something had to give.

In my first book, I write of the tremendous frustration, anger and pain that I felt, which caused me to lose my faith in God and myself. But I also let the reader know what I had to do and where I had to go to reclaim my faith.

Sometimes as single parents, we try to care for our children, help with homework, take care of the home, as well as have a career -- all by ourselves. We may even have too much pride or feel ashamed and embarrassed to call on someone to help. But we cannot do it all by ourselves. We cannot do it all alone. When focusing on many things at once, most times, only one thing (if that) gets done effectively. Sometimes we get so caught up in nurturing and caring, we forget that someone out there is able to help.

Don't be afraid to try God. It is not a sign of weakness to ask God for His help. Believe that He is able to do all things but fail. His Word says, Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. - (Matt 11:29-30).
